Lace Scarf from Rebecca

I love the color! It complements my skin color so well! And the finished product has such a dreamy and romantic feel that i am waiting for a perfect occasion to wear and show it off ;-)

Used GGH Soft Kid yarn, #65 (mustard). Size 10.5 16 inch circular needle. Pattern from Rebecca Soft Kid Special Edition. #30, scarf with eyelet pattern.

This is my first time reading a pattern by myself. I did not ask any help. Frogged once because I read the construction marker wrong. Greatly boosted my confidence because I feel like an independent knitter now *_*

Modified Booga Bag

This is a modified version of the Booga bag from Brown Sheep Design. The original design looks more like a sack, while mine looks for like a tote in shape. The reason is that I lined it. Therefore it became difficult to put i-cord through so many layers of knitted and other fabrics.

Used Noro Kayeron #95. My favorite colorway of all Noro's ;-) Size 10.5 circular needle. Three and a half skeins.

My first felting project. I can still recognize stitches from it. However, after about the third run through washer, the texture barely changes any more. Leafing through magazines, I wonder why other people's stitches can disappear completely into the felted fabric. Still puzzled, need an answer!

Also learned twisted stitch and i-cord in this project.

Ruffle Scarf from Scarf Style

Ruffle scarf from Scarf Style.

I have been lurking on the Scarf Style Knit Along for a while. Finally plunged and knitted this one on the two plane rides during Chrismas and New Year.

Used Noro Kayeron #160, three skeins. Size 9 dpn.

The texture is a bit rough for sensitive skin. I think Noro Silk Garden feels more comfortable than Kayeron. But it is such a pity that Silk Garden does not have as vivid and strong colorway as Kayeron. If I would knit this pattern again, I would try to use a bright red cotton yarn. I saw a picture of it on some exchange knitted gifts list. It is fantastic!

Since the California winter is so mild, I gave this to a friend who lives in New York. Hope she likes it!

Kiri Shawl

The kiri shawl. Designed by Polly from All Tangled Up. (Before I learn how to put links here, you can google her ;-)

I love it. Learned lace from it. Many thanks to Wendy, who taught me how to read a lace pattern.

Used Rowan Yorkshire Tweed yarn. 5 skeins plus ten yards from a six skein. I don't really like the yarn because it sheds a lot.

Used size 6 24inch circular needle. Knitted 12 pattern repeat. The finished product (after blocking) is about 63 inch for the bottom edge of the triangle, 27 inch for the height of the triangle.

Also learned provisional cast on, blocking and using stitch marker for this project. Have to constantly counting the stitches for each pattern repeat. Otherwise it would be a nightmare to go back and debug where I went wrong.

Cable Scarf

Going into cables. It is such a time consuming project. I knitted one pattern repeat each night for an hour. Took seventeen nights to finish!

Used some worsted weight yarn from walmart. Last time ever to use yarns with polyster fibers.

Circle Scarf

The scarf that started everything.

Used Crystal Palace Merino Frappy. About two and a half skein. Used size 10 needle. Start in 10 stitches.

First serious project since high school. Learned short rows from it.

Easy Scarf

This is a very easy scarf. The second scarf after high school. Knitted during watching Apprentice II. Used some baby terry yarn from walmart. Did not discover the whole world of knitting and yarns online yet.
